Don't forget to have a look at Angela's blog and see what other pink projects are in the pipeline with the Rainbow Scrap Challenge weekly link up here.
I also made some blue stars for my group's charity project. I'm in catch up because we were planning a multicoloured quilt, but at our first check in when we combined the blocks, I was the only one who didn't make blue stars. We've now turned the projected into a blue quilt LOL. These are my blue stars from the past couple of weeks combined. Obviously I'm playing in the very dark blue end of the blue drawer.
What a lovely load of scraps!! HOT PINK (and blue, too) in a wide variety of prints. I never think to put the background fabric in the centers of my Wonky Stars. I really like the balance created with some light squares and some dark. MUST remember this for my own!!
ReplyDeleteLove the pink stars and the dark blues. The light centers make them look not so somber as well as those few yellow points.
ReplyDeletelove all the stars! they look great
ReplyDeletethe pinks seem to have won you over.
Beautiful stars -- I have always loved pinks, so I have a nice deep range to play with. Happy that you now enjoy them, too.
ReplyDeleteLove your pink stars and interesting variety of fabrics. The dark Blues wil be great in the all blue quilt to give it a touch of dark drama. Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteWonky stars are my favorite blocks these days! Yours look great in both colors!
